One of the reasons we came south was to attend the Florida RV Supershow in Tampa. The show takes over the entire Tampa Fairgrounds. We had heard that it was enormous. Well they were not kidding about the size the grounds are 355 acres of course half that is parking. They were estimating 70,000 in attendance, over 1,500 RV's along and a huge number of vendors selling everything for RVing you could imagine. Here is an aerial view of the show that show most of the RV display. Our plan was to see a wide variety of RVs that we would not normally be able to view. We certainly were able to do that. I did not count but know that we walked through at least 100 RVs and that was skipping almost everything that we knew was not what we would purchase. Ok, we did walk through couple of insanely expensive RVs just for fun. I looked at our steps on the phone and over the couple of days at the show we walked a total of over 20,000. At least we got a lot of exercise.

The Festival was great. Lots of art and food. They had living statues. Chalk paintings. Fancy artsy food. We only walked 8,977 steps because we kept stopping to listen to the live music that was all around the lake.
Our trip into Animal Kingdom as great. The plan was to come in later in the day and stay till the Tree of life projection. They have made a few updates to the projection from last year. It is always impressive.
Watch the lower left corner when one of the two new baby tigers attacks the other. Mom walks by 'as long as they keep each other busy I am ok with it'.
We watched the Nemo musical again. It is always fun. Just after sunset we took the safari. This first time we have taking the ride after dark. It was interesting. Many of the animals were eating the last meal of the day. The lions were very active and the male roared several times at the end of the sunset. It was impressive. At the end of the day we road the Na'vi river journey again.
We did walk a bit. 14,877 steps today.
We relaxed for the weekend. Next week will be very busy and we needed some down time. Of course there were some regular household activities that needed to be done like flushing the tanks and washing clothes but mostly recharging ourselves. During the last week we visited all of the WDW parks some more than once. We have walked a lot on this trip. Over 43,000 steps from Monday to Thursday. Our highest was last Tuesday at 13,455. This afternoon we stopped by DIsney Springs to go by the Disney store for some shopping. This evening we had the sandhill cranes visit again. They are huge, loud, and will walk right up to you. No fear at all. I was spooked a little bit when one got within 3 feet of me. I did not want to be pecked. They have a sharp 4 inch beak. Back to the parks Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday we plan to go to the big RV show in Tampa. I see a lot more walking in our future.
We love Animal Kingdom. The baby tigers were awake while mom was napping. The baby giraffes, gorillas, and elephant are bigger. The flock of macaw lives at the park flew over several times. Today we visited the Magic Kingdom. We rode several rides and wondered in and out of a lot of shops. The two projection/fireworks shows at the end of the day were great.
Epcot today. I don't think I took a single picture. It was nice to just enjoy the park.
We had lunch in Japan. Rode several rides like Nemo at the Seas, the land and Soarin. The live music ... Drummers at Japan... Fiddle band at Canada... Rock tribute band at Britain.. And we watched the Chinese acrobats. Yesterday we walked 8,772 steps but today we topped that at 13,455 steps. The new shoes are getting broken in FAST. Our count is that we have visited WDW 20 days in the last 12 months but who's counting. Today we relaxed and did not get out the the parks until 11am. First up was Hollywood Studios and the Christmas decorations are still up. Wow! After walking around and refilling last years popcorn container for $1.50 we watched the Frozen sing-a-long. I think it has been our 3rd time. It is still fun. The new entrance to Star Wars is up but the land will not open for over a year. Just on a whim we rode the Star Tours ride. We were off to Animal Kingdom to see the Rivers of Light show. It was not ready last year when we visited WDW. It was great! The floats are colorful. The projection on the fans of water sprayed across the entire lagoon are fantastic. The whole show was worth the wait. After seeing Pandora during the day the last thing today was to see Pandora at night. I had heard that the imagineers had worked hard to make visiting the new land worthwhile and they did. Even the walkways glow. Tonight SpaceX is planning to launch a Falcon rocket. We are traveling to Shawna's sisters on the coast to visit and then watch the launch.
UPDATE: We did see the launch. It went off right on time and lit up the sky. As it traveled up the rocket passed behind a cloud. The edges we bright until the Falcon passed into clear sky. About a minute after the launch we could clearly see the separation and as the second stage disappeared we watched the return of the Falcon to the landing area. BTW, I added a map of our travels. It amazed me how many places we have already visited. We arrived in south Florida near Orlando. The plan is to visit family, maybe see a SpaceX launch, see the Tampa RV show, and of course visit Disney. BTW, After several very cold nights we are now far enough south that tonight is the lowest low we will experience for two weeks or more. Tonight's low is in the upper 30's. Starting Monday the highs are in the 70's. We are looking forward to the warmth.
