We got about 4 hours of sleep and were out of the hotel by 5am for our next our flight to Dallas then on to Amarillo.  We were picked up by James and went to his house to get Betty’s car. Then we drive 2 hours to Logan.  We should make it to the house about 5:30 pm.  We are exhausted.

Up early to catch our plane to the mainland.   The flight it not until 10 am but we left two hours early for the drive down and  return the car.

I had to fill the rentals fuel tank and it cost $4.95 a gallon.  WOW!  That is over $2 more than it was in Texas when we left.

Our flight to Oakland is about 5 hours. Over an 1.5 hour layover when we will get lunch. Then catch a flight to Phoenix.  The Phoenix airport was a mess.  The ground staff and loaders were messing up all over and slow.  VERY VERY SLOW.  It took well over an hour to get our bags to the carousel.

By midnight, we were in our room and trying to get some sleep.

Beach day and more shopping.

We got some beach chairs and an umbrella from the office and went down to Hanalei bay.  I stopped for some pictures from a overlook.
It is an amazing island.  Next we drove down to Hanelei beach where South Pacific was filmed.
We had some very curious birds that kept walking right up to our chairs.
Some of the beach is sand but some is more like fine gravel.

In all the places we have traveled in the world and even the black sand beach here in Hawaii, I have never found a prettier beach than Pensacola Beach.

After 2 hours of getting wet, floating, sun, and relaxing we packed up and went to lunch at “The Terrace Hanalei“.  Very nice food.  Pricey but nice.  The view was great.
Next shopping nearby and then back to the condo to prep for leaving in the morning.  Mostly packing…

Sandwiches and leftovers for dinner.  None of the food we have left can come with us on the plane so what we don't eat will be thrown away.  I hate waste but we don't have a choice.

These are the signs at the airport and yes they do inspect bags.

Rain and Betty having some stomach trouble so we did not go out.  Also she and Shawna are a bit sore from yesterday's fall.  We relaxed and watched the Nene and other birds in the field behind the condo.
There were some interesting geckos on the back porch.  They looked like red paint had dripped on its back.  There were also some pretty flowers around the condo.
I did go to the grocery for a few things and then to a food truck for some very nice seafood.
