Over the next few days, we will visit at Kelly and Leon's.

There will be lots of talking, playing cards, and relaxing.

Shawna cleaned her shell haul, it was pretty impressive.
Several turkeys walked through the yard heading across the highway.

Heading back to Kelly and Leon's

On our last day, we checked out 10 am and headed to the local museum.  Very nice.  Then back to Gypsy Cafe for a snack.  We decided to have a couple of nice appetizers.

We drove on to Fort Myers to get gas, "Linner" ( a meal half way between Lunch and Dinner) at BJ's Brewery,  It was still a bit early so we spent some time walking around bass pro shops.

After dropping off the rental car, our plane brought us to Orlando to meet Kelly, Leon, and Mom for the ride back to their house.

We will be staying in their camper and visiting, playing cards, and celebrate Thanksgiving.

Last day of shelling and our haul

Our last day of shelling.  The weather has been very nice.
Shawna found a few more very nice shells. All the ones with creatures were carefully put back in the ocean. Below was some small Florida fighting conches, and a spiny jewel box.
It was a great time and we found lots of shells.

We may need to pay for an overweight bag for the flight.  Just kidding, we made sure not to make any bags over the limit.

Our final sunset was very nice.

The next two days we would walk the beach picking up shells.
We walked down the beach for about a mile each direction and go to the beach bar for lunch and a drink several times. Today was a very relaxing wedding anniversary.

Shelling in the 10,000 islands.

Shelling with "SWF Shell Guide"...  We had heard of this shelling group from a YouTube channel we frequently watch "SWF Beach Life".

We are up early as our tour leaves for the islands at 7am.  Yesterday, we got the valet to bring the car around for us before going off duty.  They are not working as early as we will be leaving.

The boat picked us up at a dock across Marco island and we were off to the "Ten Thousand Islands".
After a short boat trip, we ended up on Kice.  We have heard of this island from the SWF Beach Life YouTube channel that we follow.
There were shells everywhere and lots of nice ones.  We came back after 4 hours with full bags.  The boat captain had a suggestion for a good restaurant for lunch.

We went to the Island Gypsy Cafe for a very nice seafood meal and I got a huge piece of carrot cake to go.  For the next two days, we ate carrot cake for desert.

Celebrating our 48th anniversary at the beach.

We both love the beach. Southern Florida in November has some of the best shelling times. We got up a little early to catch low tide.  It should help with shelling. The sea star was alive. We just watched it for a while. It made us more cautious when walking to not accidentally stepping on the sea creatures.
Time to relax. It was so nice to just listen to the waves, read a book, soak up the sun and rest our souls.
The grill we walk by to get to the beach is pretty nice.  We will eat here often.
Another pretty sunset, this time from our balcony.

Flying to Fort Myers, Florida

The hotel was nice. The next morning, we had breakfast and then  took the shuttle to the airport. TSA at Orlando airport was not bad and we flew to Fort Myers.  We pickup our rental car and stopped off at BJ's Brew-House for something to eat before the hour drive down to Marco Island.

The condo was very nice. They had free valet for the cars.  Our room on the 7th floor over looked the pool area that was under renovations.  That was a bit smelly at times as they were applying tar for sealant.

It was a short walk to the beach and each night a sunset view from our balcony.

Betty, Shawna, and I fly down to Florida today.  We will meet Kelly and Leon at the Orlando Airport.  The flight to Orlando was good and they dropped us off at our hotel. Shawna and I will continue on in the morning to Marco Beach for a few days together.

I drove over to a friend's house on the other side of the lake.

This guy was warming on the road.
It was hiding pretty well on the road.
