Traveling to Killarney

We were up by 6am for an early for breakfast then finish packing.

Today, we use 3 busses to get to our destination.
Doolin to Ennis.  Ennis to Limerick.  Limerick to Killarney.

Breakfast was the last of our bread, butter, and jelly.   We made sandwiches with the last of the cheese, mustard, and ham for later.

We walked down to town to the bus stop on time, but the bus was a bit delayed.  Soon, we were on the bus and off to Ennis.

When we arrive in Ennis, our bus driver walked over to talk to the driver of the bus that is about to leave. He asks that he take us on his bus, so we don’t have to wait for an hour for the next one.  These guys are great!
This put us in Limerick early and we were able to catch the next bus early also. This made our arrival in Killarney about 1pm instead of about 3pm.
We walked the few blocks to the Fairview Hotel Killarney.  We will be here for 4 nights.  Well, we have a problem. It seems we had reserved a single room.  Not a one bedroom but a room for one person.  Whoops!   A single bed would be a bit small for the two of us.

The manager said he had an alternative, and it would not cost us to change we just needed to wait until 4pm before checking in.  We were able to leave our bags and then went on a walk around the city.

We sat on a bench outside a church and ate our sandwiches.

There were horse drawn carriages that pass occasionally, and we found where they start from.  We both think we have "enjoyed" the smell of horses enough for a little while.

We did a little window shopping for several hours and then stopped in a very interesting restaurant.  It is called Rob's Ranch House and themed on the wild west. No kidding a restaurant in Ireland themed this way.  We had a snack and something to drink.
They focus on American style Steaks, Burgers, BBQ,...

We still had some time, so we decided to walk around the nearby garden at Killarney House Mansion.   The property was donated to the city as a park.
We get back to the hotel about 4:30 and the manager gives us the information on our “room”. Okay, actually it is an entire apartment about 100 feet down the road.  It is huge with a king size bed, a 20x20 sitting room, a full kitchen with table, and a patio out back.  The bathroom has a rain head walk in shower another unexpected blessing.  We will have a free made to order hot breakfast each morning.
Off to dinner at a Murphy's pub.
On our way back to the apartment, we stopped for a drink at "The Shire" which is themed after a hobbit house.
Bed by 10pm as we have to have breakfast by 9am to make it to our first scheduled tour.
