We moved to a little RV park one mile north of the Crater of Diamonds State Park.
This is a place we have talked about going for a while and we finally got here. It will be a new experience and may even be fun. We will see. Murfreesboro, Arkansas is a very focused on Diamonds like Roswell is on UFO's. Even the RV park has some connection. They even teach a free class on how to search and let us borrow equipment to take to the park.

We have enjoyed relaxing at two different lakes in Oklahoma. The first was the Robert Kerr Reservoir.
The second was Wister Lake.
We had some VERY windy days but also some fantastic sunsets.
At Wister Lake, we also had some birds to watch.
The RV came with a hide-a-bed couch. We started to have pealing of the fake leather and it was looking pretty shabby. The Amarillo Gander had a loveseat recliner that we liked. So after a quick run back to the RV to get the old couch out and to a Goodwill for donation. We then drove back to get our new recliner. It was a lot of running back and forth but the results were worth the effort. Dropped about 150 pounds on the weight for the RV as well.
We have had a great time visiting with Mom and spending time with Bill and Kelly. Lots of playing cards and visiting. Visiting the State Park. Work around the park, Mom's house, and on our RV and Truck. I replaced the headlights. After spending way too much on "cleaners", I ordered replacements. What a huge difference. The originals fogged over after about 10 years so these should be good for a long time. Going out to dinner at The Road to Ruin and The Annex. A few animals. Turkeys, deer (well a big buck anyway),... Bugs... well tarantulas anyway. We had some pretty sunsets. |
