Fort Pickens Campground, Gulf Islands National Seashore!

We have returned to Fort Pickens. I don't even remember the first time we camped at Fort Pickens.  It was back when we were children with our families.  Sadly, this will be our last time here unless the new height restriction is removed. The maximum height of any vehicle as of January 2022 is 12 feet.  That will prevent almost any Class A, C, or 5th wheel from camping at Fort Pickens. Currently there are many RV's that are over 12 feet in height, so the restrictions make no sense at all.  The only reason I can come up with is that there are about a dozen small limbs on a few scrub oaks that could be trimmed.

The campground is about half full. There are a lot of empty spaces around us.

It is so nice being back at the beach.  Pensacola has amazing beaches with the whitest sand anywhere in the world.  We will walk on the beach when we are in the area.

Time for lunch. We decided to go to Crabs! on the Beach.  We enjoyed the food and atmosphere.  It was a warm day so being outside even in December was nice.
