We had one really big job left to do here at the Lake. Moving the carport cover and old 5th wheel by Gramma's house. The goal was to clear the area to be used as a location for our rig when we are here, as well as other people who would visit Gramma.
James, who some know as Jr., is here and was important to moving both major parts of this big project. First, moving the two car metal carport. Second, moving the 36 foot 1970's vintage Shasta 5th wheel. Both being moved to James's property across the street from Gramma's.
There was an interesting problem for each. The carport had to be lifted high enough to move it and supported to keep it from collapsing. The 5th wheel had been in the same location since the mid 70's and though the tires were still in place, they had not been aired up or had weight on them for over 40 years. It was amazing that the tires still held air.
Of course, Shawna took a few before and after pictures. There were no pictures of the 5th wheel moving but you will get the idea. The last photo is of the 5th wheel at its new location.
Both were moved down row B in the park to Hwy 540 Loop. Then up to Sage. Down Sage to Morningside. Down Morningside to the James's property opposite the garage and shop.
We are a couple who have started on a new adventure...
